As one of our Summer activities, Pack 452 travelled to the Crystal Grottoes Caverns in Boonesboro, MD. Following an exciting and interesting tour of this subterranean cave, we visited the nearby Antietam National Battlefield where we viewed a short film about the history of the Civil War battle that was fought there (one of the bloodiest in US history). We also witnessed a live artillery demonstration as part of "Artillery Day" at the park. |
